Yep, That's right...Batman, Transformers and my favorite goodies. Followed up with Faderade and video games and dinner. Definitely a very memorable week to say the least.

Being Human
So I've grown an affection for this show. The UK version much more so than the US version. The writing and acting is better than most anything I've watched in recent years. I have Netflix to thank, once again for this little gem.

Dead Hooker in a Trunk
Finally! The US release of Dead Hooker in a Trunk! I can't wait for my date with the Twisted Twins. Hope you all got your preorders in and are ready for one of the greatest horror films to ever leave Canada.
Ladies, I am so proud of you guys. I don't know two women on Earth who deserve success any more than you. As a fan, it has been wonderful to receive feedback and watch the journey as your "little movie" got the big props it deserved. I have spent over a year waiting to get my copy of this, and now that the time is near, I am damn near ready to explode with anticipation.
I look forward to following your career, and how the rest of the world is going to fall in love with you and your amazing work!

The Damnation Game- Clive Barker
After missing this book for years, someone found it for me again. It is the best Barker novel in my personal opinion. I have read it countless times and have started it once again. It far surpasses the term "page turner" and becomes simply obsession. I'm including the link to Amazon.com to order your very own copy. I enjoyed his Books of Blood and of course the Hellraiser and Nightbreed comics, but this is simply...amazing.
He is a sick and twisted individual which makes him a wonderful horror writer. Nothing he's done has been less than wonderful for me.
Yes, there are movies based on quite a few of his stories and books, but of course the books are much, much more involved and horrifying.
He is a dark and scary man, and I love him!

Drag me to Hell (2009)
Sam Rami has always been one of my favorites. This movie is dark and creepy as to be expected for its title, but Rami didn't forget that campy humor that put him on the map in the first place. I have had this since it was released and it gets played once a month at least in my house. If you haven't seen it, check it out. It's at least worth a watch.

OMG Shoes 2012!
![]() |
| Extreme zombie stompers |
Once again, I have fallen in love with shoes I will never, ever wear. I can't actually justify buying them, but if I could I would sleep in these.
I've gotten off the shoe bandwagon for a while, but am back with a sexy footwear vengance. I'm becoming obsessed with all versions of this shoe. I will have them. Even if I seriously have no reason for it.
Of course I'm going to post black boots. I have always loved boots in general. There's just something about possibly stomping someone's ass in boots like this that appeals to me. Yeah, I'm getting these. Then whoever feels brave...Come at me, Bro!

The way to a girl's heart (for those who are curious)
Valentine's Day is fast approaching and as most of you know, I'm not a fan of the over commercialized crap that stores insist we have to buy to prove our affection. It's useless and stupid. I've decided to share what works for me instead. First of all, this is not a fullproof method of winning the affection of any woman, just one who's not a grubby bitch. Who needs flowers and gifts? I need music. That being said, I've decided to share a few songs that will make any good woman fall at your feet.
Hello-Lionel Richie
With or Without You- U2
Also accepted:
1. All My Life- Kc and JoJo
2. When I Fall in Love- Nat King Cole
3. Let's Stay Together- Al Green
4. She's Got a Way- Billy Joel (anything by this artist is acceptable)
5. These Arms of Mine- Otis Redding (anything by this artist is acceptable as well)
Now if you have less than honorable intentions and need a little mood music, I've still got ya...
Bed- J. Holiday
Cream- Prince
There are many others that will grant access to her no no spot... ANYTHING by Usher usually works wonders if you're just looking for a fun time. R. Kelly also works in this situation. Go with what you know and like already. These are just suggestions and aren't proven to work on everyone, but if they don't she's not the one you want anyway!

Songs Know Best
Now that the puppy has your attention, and your heart is sighing...
Do you ever get that feeling that whatever you are listening to is really speaking TO YOU? I'm sure at some point we've all felt it. It's a constant with me lately. Whenever I don't know which way is up, I turn to music to help me surface for air again. Lately it seems I need it more than usual.
There is so much on my mind and I don't know what is what at this point. I rarely use this blog as a platform to vent, and hate that I have reverted back to that now. I always want to be optimistic, but when everything seems to be screaming in my face, optimism is no where to be found. I just hope that by getting this out now, I can prevent any further damage done to my already weak ego.
I don't want to be one of those bitter old women, and I think we always have a choice between bitter and scorned or taking things as they come. I'm going to choose the latter. I like being one of those laid back people that just lets negativity roll off of their backs, but even they need a shoulder now and again.
I want to take this time to thank those who have been that for me lately. You know who you are. I love you guys with every ounce of my being. I couldn't ask for better friends. When I need each of you, you guys never hesitate to step up and be just what I need. I'd not be who I am without you.

Aaron Lewis Live
So once again, I have an upcoming concert event to obsess over for the next month. February 4th I will be traveling to Biloxi to see Aaron Lewis on his solo tour at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. I am so excited I almost can't contain myself. After missing the most recent Staind concert because of my typical adult responsibilities, I think I will enjoy this show even more. I'm going to be posting videos from now until February of recent shows. Hope you all enjoy and get your tickets while you can. I hear they are going fast! I'm posting the link to the Hard Rock's website so you can get your hotel/ticket packages now!

I like Games
Okay guys, yes I know It's been a while (again). Since I got a lovely shout out from the Twisted Twins, I figured it required that I post something. The only problem with that idea is that I have nothing to post except useless stuff lately so I haven't been. I will say I finally got Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3 for Xbox. I've done little else outside of work and motherly duties. If you have xbox live and would like to add me my gamertag is angel1649. I will almost accept any friend request, just don't be a creeper. If you don't have either of these, they are both great and I look forward to playing with all of you. GEARS FTW!!!
With that being said, I look forward to the rush of all of you to sign into xbox live and play with me!

Santa is a fat... -Insane Clown Posse
Twas the week before Christmas and I decided to have a week of random Christmas related blog posts leading up until the day the jolly old fat one gets his rotund rump stuck in someone's chimney. The first of these is a song that I end up singing while wrapping presents every year. Who cares about "Rudolph" when I can still be down with the clown during this warm and fuzzy time of year!

Hesitate- Stone Sour
I strayed away from listening to Stone Sour for a while, because I felt they had become a little "radio rock". This entire album changed that opinion for me. It goes back to what made me love "Bother" and some of their other earlier work so much.

Dead End (2003)
For this Terror Tuesday post I figured I'd watch something that I've seen on Netflix for a while now. When using Netflix to choose a horror film, I'm not usually thinking it will be a great one. My ultimate reason is that most people have Netflix now and could potentially watch it if info I have posted here interested them.
I will begin by saying I can not remember a time that I peeked through my fingers while watching a movie in a very, very long time. Maybe it's the season. Maybe I just got a little scared because I watched most of it alone. Either way, I will be glad to let you know, if you want to watch something that can scare even me...this is it! I thought the driving would get monotonous, but with everything happening, it never bored me. The ending is predictable on some level if you explore your imagination, but I suggest you just watch the movie and enjoy it. Don't spoil it for yourself.

James Erwin
Today I lost someone who has made me laugh and cry, made me angry and crazy happy. I can say he was a friend at the worst of times and my big brother in the best. I've cleaned his blood off of carpet, threatened to beat him up for being stupid and shared his joy when things were going right. Our conversations have been countless and I've gained so much from them over the years. Looking back, I know things are better for him now, but that doesn't make the hurt any less. In the past few days of him being in the hospital, people have come together to talk about the good times, bad times and all out insane times. Through divorces and drugs, love and hate, losses and wins, he was always there for everyone. Not many can say they were the same for him. I know some gave up on him without a second glance and for those people I can honestly say, you guys missed out. Upon seeing a guy covered in tattoos, some of you turned your nose up, the rest of us...saw Swerve.
I can remember meeting him back when I was a kid. He was nuts. Years later, he was still nuts. One of the most fun loving and sweet men to ever end up in my life. I don't know any other friend I've talked with like I did Swerve. He listened to my problems and cried with me through what seemed like endless turmoil. I listened and when he asked for advice, I gave it as freely as I knew how. Sometimes it seemed like he didn't listen, other times I realized my advice just wasn't the right advice for him. My last conversation with him was wonderful. We discussed how it sucks getting old and going gray, the need for me to finally get my Batman tattoo, religion, and mostly how great he felt being sober. I told him I loved him and that he made me proud. He would always be my big crazy brother. I promised I'd be back to finish my Alice stuff and I'd get a couple more tattoos as soon as I could. I can care less if he stayed sober. I can care less if you liked him at all. I just wanted to type into words what a great friend he was to me.
No matter what...I love you, Bro. I always will. I hate that I will never hear your goofy laugh or your silly sayings. I hate that we can't have five hour chats about Dali and art. I hate that we can't get all Juggalo together. I know you are more at peace now than you ever were here on Earth, but I would give anything to have another chance to sit and do all of those things. You have no idea the impact you've left on those you came in contact with. Positive or negative, no one can say you were boring. I just hope you knew how much you were loved and what a ripple effect you had on all of us. MMFCL!

American Werewolf in London (1981)
I think it's safe to say this film has been a favorite of mine since I was six or seven. My love of gore started way back when I was a little blonde, blue eyed pastor's daughter. A lot has changed in that time, the least of all being my haircolor. One thing will always remain the same. I love this movie. On some secret level, I feel actual pain during the transformation scene. I don't think any special effects before or since has made me actually hurt for a character more. When I think of movies my two little boys must see, this tops the list. It is scary, but has that great early 80s humor most horror movies had then. I miss the good old days.
