I really loved this show. It was simple like most things from my youth. I even still call my friend Patti Mayonnaise because of this. Jason randomly sang the theme song a few days ago and brought back so many memories that I thought this would be a good "Way Back Wednesday" post. Type O Negative- Black No. 1 (1993)

I was listening to my boyfriend's band practice last weekend and they started playing this song. I can't seem to stop listening to it now. I guess it's time for dark hair, black clothes (what I wear to work every day anyway) and reverting back to my more typical "Angela" look. Bye bye blonde, Hello Evil!

Also, I've been thinking of getting a new tattoo. Just so happens to be the same spider tattoo as the late Peter Steele. Leave me a comment to let me know what you guys think. Oh, and ladies who are fans of Type O Neg, you can find his Playgirl Photos online. (That's what this is from)

Bon Jovi- Always (1994)

I'm pretty sure this was the second cd I ever bought on my own. The first of which was actually TLC.
I can try to deny it, forget it, or act like I don't belt this song at the top of my lungs when no one is around, but who am I kidding?

I love them in general. I could do nothing but Bon Jovi WBW posts for the next year of Wednesdays and still wouldn't get all of my favorites.

Can't Hardly Wait (1998)

With my little sister graduating high school and moving in with me, the Can't Hardly Wait quotes are abundant in this house. This movie is full of stupid, immature humor which we can all use from time to time. Let's go Way Back to the 90s and remember what High School was like for the rest of us.
Here are a few of the random quotes you can expect to say for the rest of your life.

Okay guys and gals, time to pull on those stockings, paint on your make up and do the Time Warp in your living rooms. Reality Bites (1994)

With one of my favorite guilty pleasure soundtracks of all time, this movie holds dear memories for me. Watched it tonight for the first time in forever! Still love it, too.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)

Classic! I've watched this movie more times than I can count. I'm sure most of you have seen it at some point, but give it another watch soon. It never fails to make you smile.

One more for WBW. It's becoming more and more apparent that some of these songs cause me to become introspective and somewhat depressed. Part of me wants to go back to my regular posts, most of me wants to embrace these emotions and just let them out. Either way, Deftones is and will always be my favorite band, no matter the state of mind it creates for me.

Even the opening to this gives me chills. This is my favorite song of all time, and I wanted to save it for last. Something is almost forcing me to post it now. After the week I have had, full of bad news and emotional chaos, I feel it's time to post the crem`e de la crem`e of Deftones songs (my opinion only).


*WARNING* Mini-rant ahead- proceed with great caution!!!

  Sometimes you have to depend on
music/art/literature just to make it through the day, and this gets me there. Chino's voice somehow makes me re-evaluate things in my life, which at this point seems to be undergoing constant construction. I am not a fan of change in general. I will find comfort in things that hurt me, make me feel insecure, or are just bad for me all around; however, now is the time for me to stop feeling sorry for myself and be an adult. I'm going to finally give up the desire to be happy and just settle for being alive. Hapiness is an chemical imbalance anyway, right?  Indifference is a truely beautiful thing for most people, and the proof is how we all distance ourselves from one another when the going gets tough. I have someone's back no matter what...I wish I could say the same for everyone else. I am always dependent on what someone else wants/needs/feels...just like their passenger, but now I wanna drive msyelf for a change.

I'm not sure when this Wednesday post will ever return to Way Back Wednesday in the usual sense, but I do know I have an almost endless supply of tracks to use for Deftones' Wednesday posts...you are in for a weekly treat for as long as I feel like posting them.
