Deftones Live!

Most of you who follow this blog have been made aware of my obsession with Deftones. They are and have been my favorite band for some time now. I made my pilgrimage to see them for the first time this past weekend. I was blown away....

I can't put into words what a great experience this was for me. I sat above the stage and just let go of everything. Years of wishing I could hear them live never prepared me for what emotions I would feel hearing it firsthand. I wish all of you could have this experience.

Unfortunately, my phone decided to ass out before Chino and crew ever took the stage so I had no video or photographic evidence of this awesomeness. However, Mister Bones saves the day again with some pics he emailed me. (Thanks again, Man)

I totally couldn't hold back the emotions when I heard be opening of this song. Just simply amazing...

From now until May (and possibly after) I will be transforming this into a weekly Deftones song post. I'll still call it WBW because most of these songs are from...Way Back! Including this little ditty. One of the more personal ones for me.There was a time a long time ago that I couldn't even bring myself to listen to this. Those days are long gone now but, I still can't hear it without getting chills. I chose to post the vid with lyrics for those of you who may be unfamiliar with the song. However, if you've never heard this you should be ashamed or saddened that no one was kind enough to share it with you. It's a beauty like most things this band creates!  So I give you...Mascara (1997)
