Lights, Camera...Action

Few of you know that I secretly dream of doing voice over work. This is a problem because I don't have a particularly distinctive voice, I can't do accents, nor do I have any real acting talent. But I do, however, have this strange desire to have my voice immortalized in a video game, cartoon, or as a chick in a Twiztid song. I know it's a strange ambition, but it's been mine for a while.

I've actually been given the opportunity on numerous occasions to speak live on air for a radio station. While stationed in Keflavik, Iceland, I was in front of a mic at the on base studio many times and just sat there without making a sound. Having friends who were Journalists in the Navy led to many great times and lots of great conversations, but didn't push me to realize my dream. So now, all these years later, I still haven't made any progress and I feel like the clock is ticking! I know that 27 isn't necessarily "over the hill" but I'm not getting younger. I'm slowly devising a plan to make this a reality.

Over a decade ago, some friends and I started writing a screenplay. I have none of the work, but remember the general idea. In the next year I would like to finish this and start working on my very own horror movie. I know there are plenty of people who do this every day, and most with more talent than I will ever posses, but I still am going to do it! So the goal is this, I make my own movie, I can cast whomever I choose to be in it, and there is my voice immortalized! Even if it's just my screams being heard while being chased by a psychopath with some random weapon! I won't mind being killed in the first scene. Just to know that I've accomplished this finally will be enough for me.  I don't really want to act as a profession, but I figure this kills two birds with one stone. And I will have made a movie! Who doesn't want to do that. (And not the kind where you set up a tripod at the end of the bed)....

I guess it helps that I've made friends with some people in the "business". Knowing a few professional actors, special effects artists, and amazing writers is a definite win for my current situation. Now I only need to gather all of these talented people together to work with me and create something amazing! I'm sure this will be a long and stressful process, but I'm going to relish in it all the same. So if you would like to be a part of helping me make this happen, let me know. I can use all the help I can get!

I have some favorite movies that I hope to gather much insight from in the next few months. I want something gory, disgusting, and downright scary. Old school special effects, lots of fake blood and terror that has you carrying a knife to bed with you. It's asking quite a bit of my brain to create something of this magnitude, but what the hell? I like being terrified. Maybe I can share my love for all that is scary with the world!

It's a RAVE!

Anyone who knows me, or reads this blog knows that I'm not really into "techno" or "rave" music. That being said, I took my little sister to her first Rave/Club experience Saturday night in Atlanta. It was a last minute decision that was actually a great one. My co-worker, Jared, mentioned it and I asked Amanda if she was down...when she agreed, I was apprehensive to say the least! I am not a "club kid" by any means. Don't get me wrong, I will have a drink at the local bar or at the Applebee's across the parking lot from where I work, but I don't "club". I haven't been to anything like this in years. I was mortified that I was too old and would surely be kicked out of line and barred from the velvet ropes (snow covered cracked sidewalk in this case) To my surprise I wasn't the oldest person waiting in line in the freezing cold at 2 am to enter this establishment. The place was called Tundra and it was frigid!

I am glad I got to spend some time with my little sister in a "grown up" atmosphere. All too often we just sit around and do nothing. It was nice to be the one to experience this with her and I look forward to more trips to Atlanta while she's visiting from Kansas!

Zero (1995)

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness has some vivid memories for me, but the song "Zero" tops all other tracks. Being the "preacher's kid" the lyrics had a very strong hold on me. Even now the line "...and God is empty, just like me..." invokes emotions that I can't put into words. So instead I will post the song for your own viewing/listening pleasure. Enjoy circa 1995...Zero

The Orphanage (2007)

I must admit, I have been looking forward to watching this movie. I just recently bought it, but haven't had the chance to sit and view it. A couple of months ago I watched Pan's Labyrinth, and loved it. When I saw that Guillermo Del Toro produced this, I knew it was a must see for me.

So when I decided to watch this I chose to watch without English subtitles for a couple of reasons. 1) I can't find the remote to my DVD player in my bedroom and I'm too lazy to watch it in any other room. and 2) I thought I would better enjoy "watching" instead of reading. Most of  all, if after six years of Spanish classes I can't understand it...we have issues. I'm glad I watched without the subtitles! There was a purity that wasn't ruined by my constant scanning words on screen. In Spanish I still got the plot and was able to actually see what was happening in the movie.

I will be the first to admit, if you want to scare me, put a kid in a mask. Tomas is so deeply terrifying to me as the "ghost" in this story. It is moving and beautiful to watch, but just as touching and emotional. I really enjoyed this as much as I expected, and am glad to have added it to the growing number of movies that I now have no more space to store. If you haven't seen this one you really should. It's a great film.

I really am growing an affection for everything Del Toro touches. I'm a huge fan of Hellboy and, as I mentioned above, Pan's Labyrinth. I look forward to finding more of his work past, present, and future.

Again, I will try to keep this a regular post, but need ideas from you! If you have a movie you want to share, please feel free to let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading this week's Terror Tuesday!

Tee Shirts (Superhero Edition)

Yeah, the girl with an obsession with superheros has found her Kryptonite. As much as I love tee shirts, I should really stop looking for them online. However, someone needs to share this knowledge with the public and I've taken it upon myself to educate the masses. Let's begin with Batman. Surprised? I didn't think so!

Or if I'm feeling particularly "female" I may try this....
And for the retro look....
Now I know some of you like "other" superheros and I've got some options for you as well...

And Of Course I couldn't forget the Marvel fans...

Not to mention (and I love Scandinavian mythology)

Ok I know I started with Batman, but I will finish with him as well. He is, after all, my favorite! It was hard to find one I didn't have or haven't seen often and on every chick at the hot chicks in batman shirts site.

I will own this. It brings me more joy than most things in life.  I give you my favorite....

That's it for this weeks Tee Shirt post. Hope you've found a couple you wanna get, but if not that just means you're not as cool as me!

Couple Days Late

And quite a few dollars short. I'm posting Terror Tuesday on Thursday. I know, I could just wait until next week, but my love of all that is horror has me wanting to post tonight. Tonight's terrifying tale is House on Haunted Hill (1959) Vincent Price invites a group of guests to his "haunted" home for a party for his fourth wife. The previous three wives have all kicked the bucket. Cue ominous music....

Price is by far one of the most chilling men I've ever watched on film. He gives me nightmares! If you haven't seen this one, you really should catch it. I remember watching it as a kid and it stayed with me. Yeah, there is a remake of this and it's decent, but the original is still far better, big shock!! They just don't make them like they used to...

Until next time...Terror Tuesday Terror Thursday!

Winning

I'll agree winning isn't everything, but then again...my team didn't lose a game last season! National Champions. This is the moment Queen starts playing and tears start rolling. I didn't think I'd see it in my lifetime and couldn't be more proud to say "It's great to be an Auburn Tiger!" So for those of you with endless "duck" jokes (including my mother, I love you) WAR EAGLE! Here's to another great season and hoping this year will prove just as great!

This weeks regularly scheduled posts will not exist due to time constraints. I'll make up next week with something great. Need ideas for Terror Tuesday and Way Back Wednesday. Post yours in comments below. Thanks and have a great week :D

National Championship!

As it has been stated previously in this blog, I am a die hard Auburn fan! This year for the first time in my life we have made it all the way to the National Championship. In 4 hours I will be glued to a screen not to move until we win or lose. I am fully aware there are those of you who are happy to get this far, and don't care win or lose...I care. I don't want my team to have made it this far to lose now. I'm posting a little motivation for those of you who wanna see some tigers rip some ducks into pieces tonight. Let's go get em Boys!!

War Damn Eagle! Until tomorrow and Terror Tuesday!

Heads up...new music!!!

#1 this week on Billboard's Rock chart is The Black Keys "Tighten Up". I actually like this one, however commercial it may be. I've had it on my phone for a few weeks now, and listen to it at work. Not my usual style of music, but it has a certain flow and bluesy sound that I tend to gravitate towards. I probably will never download another song by this band...but I'll enjoy this one for now.

Onto a band that has a etched a permanent mark on me...My Chemical Romance. I know, I'm such an "emo" kid or whatever term you are affectionately calling fans of MCR these days. Honestly, there is very little these guys do that I don't love...even when I try not to like it at all! I give you...."Sing" Oh, and tell me Gerard Way doesn't have amazing vocal talent and I will straight up punch you in the face! :D

Now that I've given you my "rock" songs this week...let's change it up a bit. My pal Mister_Bones posted a video for Kanye West's "Monster" and I've not been able to stop watching it since. Instead of playing copy cat, you can take a trip to his blog and see the video here. This song is so packed with artists that I enjoy, it can't possibly be bad! Rick Ross, Jay-Z, and Nicki Manaj....just greatness. The video is what takes it to another level for me. As those of you that follow this blog know, I love horror and this delves into some things I'm sure they will never show on MTV.

So that's it for this installment of Heads up...New Music. Until next time!

Way Back Wednesday

I really didn't have to put much thought into this weeks WBW post. It's one of my all time favorite movies, partially because of my childhood obsession with all things Fred Savage (I love Kevin). Mostly it's because The Princess Bride is still one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. There are so many one-liners that I use daily from this film. While I've mentioned I'm not a huge "chick flick" fan, that is not to say that I don't like romance in general. The love story between Wesley and Buttercup is one of epic proportions for me. As a little girl, I wanted to grow up and find what they had, and to this day it is what I envision of "Twu Wuv" (I said I had one-liners, folks).

The characters in this are some of the best in any story. Everyone plays a part in what makes this awesome. Andre the Giant, Mandy Patinkin, Billy Crystal...they all support Carey Ewles and Robin Wright Penn so well. I can't choose a favorite scene, because they are all so stand out on their own.
I will note a couple that I tend to laugh the most about, however. Let us start with the battle of wits... I can't remember that actor's name, but I do know he has to be one of the most annoying people on the planet. Kinda glad he kicked it.

Next up is when Miracle Max revives Wesley. Crystal kills me here. Even as a child when not every joke was understood, he still had me rolling in the floor laughing. The make-up for this is done so well I was in my teens before I realized who Miracle Max actually was or what a Wench was...but I still laughed every time!
Of course, I must admit I love Mandy Patinkin's Inigo Montoya. I still quote this randomly from time to time. I feel I must post video of this...a photo wouldn't do it justice.

Still not my favorite...so I have to post yet another. I could post pictures all day long and you wouldn't receive the full humor of this scene. Just so you know, I'm laughing as I post this...so damn funny.

So now that you are well and truly laughing your asses off... If I were forced at gunpoint to choose just one scene to be a favorite...it would be this one. Like every other girl, I love the "happily ever after"....

Hope you have enjoyed this weeks installment of Way Back Wednesday. I look forward to this one every week and hope you all do as well. Until next time I will leave you with this:

Anybody want a peanut?

Return of the Living Dead 3

This weeks movie is Return of the Living Dead 3. I don't know if it was because of Faderade, but I honestly couldn't pay attention to this one. I'm all for zombies, but this was not really a "zombie" flick in my opinion. Definitely not scary. Far from funny. What was this to offer??..time for the Vodka to kick in and make me oblivious to the fact that there was imagery on my television. So as the end credits roll, I will tell you what I know.

A kid and his chick break into a government facility where they discover the reanimation of corpses. They get busted having gratuitous sex. Some accident caused his girl to die, he brings her back at the above facility where his father works.

Some other stuff happens with some Latino peeps, chick bites one of em, they chase after her. I don't really know. I wanted this to be good (I paid for it after all) but it just wasn't. Maybe I'll try watching it again. Maybe I missed the good parts. Either way...not one of my favorites for sure!
Julie is a self-mutilating dead/alive something. I don't deny that some of the make up she wears is cool. Not to mention some of the effects throughout the movie are pretty sweet, but it doesn't redeem this one for me. There are some pretty awesome scenes for what they are...

This was probably my favorite thing in the movie! I would love to create this to sit on my sofa perpetually. (not a bad idea) and scare the living hell out of everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I know what this movie is supposed to be. It isn't far from hitting the mark, but it just wasn't there for me. It was slow and not very entertaining. Had it had a bit more humor, a bit more gore, or even a bit more talent, I may have liked it. Just fell short of what it should have been, in my opinion. If you have comments or suggestions, again, I ask that you post them below. Have you seen this one? What were you're opinions on this film?

Shirts Everywhere and me with nothing to wear!

So I've spent my morning meticulously attacking my closet and dresser, and I'm proud to say they are both almost empty. Honestly, I never wore anything that was contained in either. Mostly because none of it fit anymore. Somehow I managed to hold onto things that were three sizes too big or three sizes too small for years. Why don't I just keep clothes that fit? Maybe because I've fluctuated size so much in the last couple of years. Either way, I'm prepared for a shopping trip soon. I have the minimum amount of stuff I need to get by (because it all fits) and will no longer be harboring clothes big enough for Jabba. I guess this may explain why I've been quasi-clothes shopping online for the last 18 hours. Notice my previous post about awesome shoes...see I'm down with spending some $$ right about now. I'm going to add to the previous and share some of my newest finds that will soon be in my closet.
Uncouth but Hilarious!
Another favorite that I can't wait for...

Yes, I get that it's derogatory, but you still laughed, didn't you?? And I rather enjoy cooking so it works for me.

Ok, now think back everyone. Back to mid-90s and you were coming home from school...what did you watch on television?

Everyone Loves some Doug!
If you don't love this...you suck!
Now I know I've blown your minds with the greatness above, but it all pales to me for this one. I remember when I got my first game system. I remember what the controller felt like in my hand, how my heart sped up when I pressed the power button for the first time and how in awe I felt when I owned everyone around me...those of you that can remember that far back and haven't stopped grabbing a controller since, this one's for you!
I guess I'll stop for now, This may or may not become a regular on my blog, there are too many to show in just one post. If you know any sites that sell great fucking tees let me know. My empty closet thanks you!

Omg Shoes!

Apparently OMG Shoes is going to become a regular post for me. I just stumbled upon a site that has gorgeous, hot shoes. Sinister Soles is my new best friend. It is loaded with amazing shoes of all kinds. From cute gothic flats to hooker thigh high boots! Best of all the prices are unbeatable. Always one for a sale, this girl! I've fallen in love...Not only do they have Zombie stompers at half the price I've mentioned in my blog previously, they have anything else you can imagine. For the few females that read my blog (or those of you guys who like wearing hot fucking shoes) this post is for you!!

Let's begin with Vampire Bat Buckle Mary Jane Pumps shall we?

These shoes are only $35 bucks. Now I just need an excuse to wear them...who am I kidding. Again I would sport these to fill the car with gas, pay my bills...anything!

Next up is a pair of boots I've had my eye on for some time. Sure they are a little out of my normal  scope, but they are beautiful!

Wow! they lace up! they are thigh boots, what more can you ask from something you wear on your feet?
And yes, Guys, they even have shoes for you! Not to mention apparel. If ever I need something to wear to a concert, this is where I will buy it! And at these prices, I can afford both shoes at once! No more Hot Topic overpriced bullshit. I can still be cheap and have hot shoes simultaneously. So I hope you've enjoyed this display of beautiful footwear. Check out the site and let me know what you think.

Heads up...new music!!!

I've been posting WBW and other old shit for a while now. I guess it should be noted that I'm not so stuck in the past that I don't listen to new music. We all know we have our favorite old music...

I've been listening to quite a bit of new music lately actually. I've checked out some new bands, as well as some old bands with new releases. I'll give you some suggestions today.

First, let us begin with a band that I'd not heard of as of yet. Automatic Loveletter. The lead singer is a chick, who in my opinion is awesome! Yeah, yeah, "Angela likes another chick band!", but this one is pretty tight to say the least. Give a listen:

Automatic Loveletter- Heart Song

Now if that's not to your liking...lets go with a band you may already know. Bullet for my Valentine released a new album "Fever" in April of 2010. After checking it out, I've become obsessed with "Begging for Mercy". This song rips my face off. I know it's now January of 2011, and that puts me discussing this a little behind schedule, but hey I'm a busy woman! Just listen to the damn song!

Bullet for my Valentine- "Begging for Mercy"

I was going to leave you with this, because these are both great songs. However, I will add another "chick band" song for your ears. Picture me Broken is slowly becoming one of my favorite new artists. Layla "Brooklyn" Allman is yet another female vocalist that I want to emulate. I've always been impressed when anyone can go from pretty sing songy melodies to full on vocal chord ripping screams and back with little to no effort. She does just that in "Dearest (I'm so sorry)". All wrapped in a pretty blonde package. Doesn't seem that she should be making the sounds she is capable of....check it out.

Picture Me Broken- Dearest (I'm So Sorry)

Yes, the video is rather silly and childish. She's practically a baby, mind you. If the ridiculousness is too bad,  just don't watch!

I think I will leave you with this for now. Any suggestions are welcome, as I like expanding my musical knowledge in many directions. Hope you all had a great first day to a new year. I'm glad to say mine was actually really good...looking back, I can't remember a day in ages that was good throughout. Maybe this can be a trend or something.

Until I post something again....

New Year rules to live by

I'm creating a list of things that I must do/not do in the next year. I've been through my share of shit in 2010 and I'm determined to make 2011 a better year for everyone! Who am I kidding? I'm incapable of this feat, but at least writing some of this down may concrete it into my head.

#1 Do not let anyone else determine how you feel about yourself. No more putting feelings into another person's hands. Just asking for disaster. If you need help recognizing that you do this...read here. This article explains what I couldn't seem to convey for a decade.

#2 Do one thing a day that makes you smile. Doesn't matter what it is...just smile more.

#3 Look at the world with childlike amusement more often. As adults we often forget how everything seems from a child's perspective.

#4 Do something daring. Step outside of your comfort zone once in a while...go ahead...it's ok :D

#5 Learn a new word every week. (use it in a sentence)

#6 Assert yourself!!! This one is huge. If you want something...get it. It's not going to fall into your lap and if it does, it's probably not worth wanting in the first place. Go after the fruit on the highest limb. It's much sweeter!

#7 Become more open to other peoples ideas. Sometimes others will suggest great things, don't shut them off at the starting gate. They may have your best interest at heart and if not what does a little fun hurt?

just drive!
#8 We are not given a specific number of days to live. Enjoy life while we're here. Love, laugh, and drink too much...it's over too soon! Be open to your feelings with others. Don't hide them for any reason!

#9 Take a road trip. Go no where...just go!

and finally #10 Don't dwell in the past. It's over. Learn from the past to realize the future will be better. If all else fails and the future is hard and stormy, remember that it could be worse and make the best of the stormy weather. Get an umbrella!

Ultimately, this list was compiled with my needs in mind. I know my shortcomings and am fully aware of what I need to do to improve. Having this to refer back to through the year should help cement it in my head. Yes, 2010 was hard...so was 2009 and 2008 and 2007, but we are given the chance to make the best of 2011, why don't we? No more negativity and pessimism. I just want to genuinely be happy! I don't think it's impossible, I don't think it's improbable even...just going to take some effort to make it happen. So for those of you who look at the new year with disdain, make it better yourself. Ghandi said "Be the change you want to see in the world", I've always taken this to mean what it says...but look deeper. If you look at life through more positive eyes, wouldn't things be more positive? Just Sayin! This time, instead of complaining about how 2011 will suck, and you don't want to deal with it, make the best of it. There is always a choice in how we react in any situation. Make the positive choice a little more often. I can hear some of you now, "But I don't want to put myself out there and get hurt (again)" or "It's all bullshit anyway". Pain is a part of life and if we run from it forever we are doomed to experience it inevitably. It will catch you in some form or another. Why not say "fuck it" and just do what you want for a change? If we cage ourselves into being unhappy and miserable, how can we expect to ever feel anything but just that!

New Reads

So I almost missed New comic day due to that troublesome job as mentioned in my post yesterday! Wednesday I looked forward to leaving work a bit early and heading down to the comic shop for the new Batman: Detective comic and whatever else I could grab. I know that for some people this is just spending money frivolously on something that I don't need, but I see it as a reward for not smoking in over two weeks. That was a $5 a day habit so if I spend $15 a week on comics or other things I want, I think it's a fair (not to mention smart) trade. Ok, so back to the story...

During a slow work day, I was looking forward to getting off early for the trip across town. To my surprise, the comic I wanted sold out in under two hours. There was no way I was going to get it and I got seriously pissed. I don't want much usually, but I really wanted this! It's bad enough I'm going to lose most of the books I have now, but to not get new ones, especially when they are as highly recommended as #871/#872, UGH!

As usual, I ended up waiting on my Mom to bring the boys. I know where I get my punctuality problems. That woman is perpetually late for everything!!! So not only did I miss out on the issues I wanted, but I don't even get to make it over to the shop to check out anything else. I work almost constantly and the shop doesn't open early enough for me to go in before work. Good news for those of you who feel sorry for me because I don't get the new Batman....the Dark Knight himself came to my rescue yet again and hooked it up! I have to agree with everyone I've talked to about these...the art is flawless, and the writing is amazing! I'm looking forward to continuing this from now on!!! At least this is an addiction that won't kill me in 30 years....for now I'm one happy nerd girl!

Grow a Pair!

For some reason or another I've heard this alot lately. I need to "grow a pair" and say what I want/need. While the idea is rather easy, the truth is, I don't like asserting myself. I'm just plain old scared of speaking my mind. There are few moments in my life when I have said something that was important to me at the exact moment I wanted to say it. This comes as no shock to any of you who know me on a personal level. It took me years to build up the courage to get a divorce, I guess for me it seems easier to just deal with things being miserable than to speak up and change it myself.

Laughable!
I guess it's easy to understand why I've been constantly walked on all of my life. My mom used me as a maid, my husband-a doormat, my friends-a pin cushion....when's it gonna be my turn? (done in my best Cleveland impression) Ultimately this post is brought on by the bullshit I deal with on a daily basis. Someone in my life....we'll call him Bill (he likes sweaters) Well Bill has very little responsibility for anything and makes a large sum of money. Month after month, There is never a schedule made. I have gone into a work-week as far as Thursday without a proper schedule (starts on Sunday). Not to mention the other lacking areas of responsibility. Being in management is supposed to require more effort and thought. That's why they make the big bucks and I do not! I guess this is weighing heavily on my decision to transfer to a different location. Yes, ultimately I would love to not work the retail side of T-mobile, and do more marketing/projections, but we gotta do what we can to KEEP our foot in the door. It is so out of character for me to sell anyone anything, but I seem to make some success...no where near the goals that have been set before me, but still, I'm trying. So I'm looking to move in the near future. I can't keep dealing with this drive, Alisha is going to be moving in with me (definitely need more space) and over all I want a new start at a new place! There are memories in Roanoke, I don't want to remember them any more. I want to hold something tangible for a moment and realize I've worked for it...I haven't seemed to find the time to do that just yet, but it's coming soon I know!

The Crow

Welcome to another installment of what I'm sure you sit on the edges of your seats for every week (eye roll) Way Back Wednesday! This week's post is brought to you by work induced boredom which allowed for its creation while I earned my meager wages today. This is a Way Back of monumental proportions, for me at least. I have been debating lately on how "way back" I wanted to take these posts since I already feel old and decrepit, but I decided to go as far as it takes to educate the masses. This one is relatively recent. No matter what, this blog is for me and my own documentation of my all encompassing awesomeness. So for your pleasure or not:

The Crow

I loved the comic, I loved the movies, I loved the series, and I love everything about this character. The Crow invoked thoughts that allowed me to question life in ways I had previously never thought. Being the good little preacher's daughter, I knew that I was supposed to believe certain things...but what if... I have always had a vivid imagination and looking back this was just one more thing to create the imagination I have today. At the core The Crow is a love story. Not one of those that I typically detest for its mushy over the top romance, but for what I view as real, unwavering affection for another being. This movie has everything I would look for in a romantic film: Evil, unstoppable Love, and Death. Just like me, I know! Yes, I still cry when watching the scene where Brandon Lee actually dies. I loved him before he was famous for being "Bruce Lee's son who died in a movie". Remember Rapid Fire? That movie kicks ass!

I miss The Crow and don't know why I don't currently own it; I guess a trip to Hasting's/Amazon/Misc movie outlet is in order now. I need to own this again!

Honestly, The Crow: City of Angels, pales in comparison, in my opinion, but I do still think it's a decent movie. Even more now that I am a parent myself, no spoilers in this blog, so I'll just say I'd be psycho as well, and leave it at that.

Both of these films have amazing soundtracks, but the City of Angels soundtrack has amazing junior high memories for me that are permanently melted into who I have become over the years. It's where I first learned of Deftones, The Toadies, Korn, Iggy Pop, and PJ Harvey. All of which directly contradicted the musical influences that my parents had spent so much time forcing upon me. Not to mention this albums tiptoe into some awesome hip-hop! (mom loved that) I've always had an eclectic taste in music and this album is nothing if not eclectic! It epitomizes the 90s for me in ways nothing else can touch. I've owned it on cassette (you know those things before cds) then a few years later bought it on cd, and after losing or abusing both of these, I just downloaded it in MP3 form. Yay for the new millennium!! Hopefully this will stand the test of time and I wont have to purchase (laugh) this music again. So I'm posting a couple of my favorite songs for your listening pleasure. If you know it great, and if this is your first time hearing this...it's been my pleasure to share this with you!

Deftones- "Teething"

Above The Law (feat. Frost) - "City of Angels"

Hopefully this WBW installment has left you remembering what it was like watching/hearing this for the first time. If you haven't seen/heard this I strongly urge you to check out both movies and soundtracks. I know there are many more "crow" things that have been released and while I like pretty much anything created about this story, these are unbeatable!

Again, if you have any suggestions for future posts, complaints about past ones, or anything to say about anything...post it below. Until next time....

Brainscan

So I've not gotten to the point that I wanted by Tuesday; however, it is my favorite blog post day. So I'm going to make the most of it.

I am pretty sure many of you have seen this if you are over the age of 25! It's not necessarily the greatest movie, Edward Furlong isn't the greatest actor...but it's good. It makes you second guess that pointless kill in your average video game, or not, if you're anything like me...I'm still going for head shots.

I promise next week's post will be spot on. I'm just not in my head at the moment. Maybe I will be again soon. Hate to just post a video and call it a day, but I do have to go to work now. So look up Brainscan and tell me what you think!

to be continued.

I was going to post today about my holiday experience, but have decided it best to wait until my mood improves. I don't know why I'm so blah, but I definitely don't want it here. So until I feel better, my apologies for everything. Though I'm sure it's not a big deal anyway
